Gorgeous purple and red welts, just like grandma's switch used to leave on my thighs every summer. He should let it wrap around a little more, to catch her hips and the sides of her legs. Those are the ones that really remind you to behave.

Severe punishments of this nature should be on not just a bare bottom but on a nude body, especially in public for the increased humiliation factor.
